Crispy Potato French Fry Sticks Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 300-gram boiled potatoes
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Black paper 1/ 2 spoons
  • Red Chilli powder 1/ 2 teaspoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Garlic powder 1/ 2 spoon
  • Cheese 1/ 3 cup
  • Cornflour 1/ 2 cup
  • Zipper bag
  • Roller
  • Knife
  • Oil

Directions

Start by preparing the potatoes

In a bowl, add 300 grams of boiled potatoes. Use a fork to mash the potatoes until they reach a dough-like consistency.

Add salt and spices to the mashed potato

Add salt as per taste, garlic powder 1/ 2 spoons, grated cheese 1/ 3 cup, Cornflour 1/ 2 cups, Black paper 1/ 2 spoons, Red Chilli powder 1/ 2 teaspoons, Coriander Leaves and mix it all well and prepare a perfect dough.

Pour the dough into the zipper and rest it

Pour the dough into a plastic zipper bag and spread it evenly. Get a roller and smoothly roll the entire mixture. And let it rest for a few minutes.

Cut the dough evenly into stick-size

Get a knife and cut the spread mixture and cut it from the middle. Now, remove the zipper bag and cut it into a long stick size. 

Get each stick and roll it to make it smooth

Roll these sticks smoothly one by one and separate them for frying. Make sure they are not breaking and keep a soft hand while doing it.

Fry these sticks carefully

Get a pan, pour oil, and heat it on a medium flame. Now fry all the sticks very gently. Make sure all the sticks are fried and let it be brown in color. Now, check if both sides of the potato stick by flipping.  

Remove the sticks and plate them all

  • If you have got an air fryer and want to keep the fries light. Air-fry the sticks at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through, for crispy results.
  • Toss the potato sticks in a little oil, and spread them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through. This method can still yield crispy results without frying.
