How to Make Banana Muffins?

In a cupcake mold, put some cupcake liners and keep it aside. Take a bowl and mash two ripe bananas. Add ½ cup of sugar and a pinch of salt and mix them well until the sugar dissolves. Now, add 2 large eggs and beat for 2 minutes. Then add ⅓ cup of oil and mix for another minute.

After mixing the wet ingredients well, add 1 cup of flour, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence. Mix all the dry ingredients with the batter. Add a tablespoon of chopped nuts and give it a final mix.

Once the batter is ready, pour the batter in equal amounts into the cupcake liners and bake it in a preheated oven for 15 minutes at 170 degrees.

What to Serve with Banana Muffins?

Banana Muffins are so versatile in taste that you can easily serve them with anything of your liking. For example; you can serve beverages like coffee, tea, milk, juice, or smoothie with the muffins.

You can also top these muffins with some yogurt, ice cream, vanilla whipped cream, or some berries to your preference.

Chef’s Tips

  • Use ripe bananas (the browner, the better!) to get the extra sweetness and flavour.
  • Make sure that the baking powder is fresh, or else the batter will not rise evenly.
  • Mix the dry and wet ingredients separately following the recipe as doing otherwise will spoil the texture.
  • Fill the cupcake liners only two thirds leaving space for the batter to rise properly inside the liners.
  • Make sure to preheat the oven to the same temperature as when baking.
