The idea of pairing bread, eggs, and cheese has been around for centuries, as these ingredients are common in many cultures. How to Make Cheesy Egg Toast?
Start by cracking 2 large eggs into a bowl, then add 2 pinches of salt, 1 teaspoon of chopped grilled chili, ½ cup of veggies (like bell peppers and carrots), and ⅓ cup of chopped onion. Mix everything well.
Next, prepare the bread slices. Use a round cutter to make a hole in the center. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan and place 2 slices of bread on it. Pour the egg mixture into the hole, cook for 1 minute on low-medium heat, and add cheese. Lastly, top with the cut-out round-shaped bread, cook for 2 more minutes, flip, and cook until the cheese melts. When done, serve with your favorite sauce.
Cheesy Egg Toast Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 pinches of salt
- 1 teaspoon chopped green chili
- ½ cup mixed vegetables
- ⅓ cup chopped onion
- Bread Slices
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Sliced cheese or cheddar cheese (as per preference)
Directions
- First of all, take 2 large eggs in a bowl.
- Then add 2 pinches of salt to it.
- Add 1 teaspoon of chopped grilled chili.
- Next, add ½ cup of vegetables. You can add your favorite vegetables, I am using three colors of bell peppers and carrots.
- Then add ⅓ cup of onion.
- Now mix all the ingredients nicely with the eggs using a fork or a hand beater.
- Keep the egg mixture aside and prepare the bread. I am taking 3 slices of bread here.
- Take a round-shaped cutter and make a cut in the center of the bread.
- Now, the breads are ready for the sandwiches.
- Next, Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Let the butter melt.
- Place the 2 bread slices on the pan and pour the egg mixture into the cut-out center. Cook for 1 minute on low-medium flame.
- Add sliced cheese or cheddar cheese on the bread according to your preference.
- Next, take the round-shaped bread you cut earlier and put it over the egg and cheese, just like the picture below.
- Cook for 2 more minutes on medium flame.
- Once one side is cooked, carefully flip it and cook the other side until the cheese melts.
- When done, remove them from the pan and make the rest of the cheesy egg toast, repeating the same process. When all are done, serve with your favorite sauce.
