How to Make Coffee Ice Cream with Condensed Milk

To make coffee ice cream with condensed milk, mix ¼ cup of water with 2 teaspoons of your chosen coffee type. Chill the coffee mixture in the refrigerator. In a separate bowl, beat 1 cup of ice-cold whipped cream until it reaches a foamy consistency.

Combine the cold coffee with the whipped cream and ½ cup of Milkmaid condensed milk. Then, beat for an additional 2 minutes until fluffy. Pour the mixture into a container and = sprinkle with decorative edible pearls and sprinkles. Freeze for 7-8 hours until set.

Homemade Coffee Ice Cream with Condensed Milk Recipe

Servings: 5-6, Prep Time: 10-12 minutes, Freezing Time: 7-8 hours, Course: Dessert, Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • Water: ¼ cup
  • Coffee: 2 teaspoons
  • Whipped cream: 1 cup (ice-cold)
  • Milkmaid condensed milk: ½ cup
  • Colourful edible pearls and heart-shaped sprinkles (optional for decoration)

Direction

  • This incredible recipe doesn’t require following complicated steps, mate. You just need to take ¼ cup of water in a small bowl and add 2 teaspoons of coffee to it. Mix it well. But hey, choosing the type of coffee is what’s more important here.

Use espresso powder if you want a deep, rich coffee flavour in your ice cream. Or you can go for cold brew concentrate to get a smoother, less acidic taste. I’m using instant coffee as I prefer a lighter coffee flavour.

  • Now, keep the coffee mixture in the refrigerator and move on to the next steps.
  • Take 1 cup of ice-cold whipped cream in a large bowl and beat it until you get a foamy consistency. I am leaving the job on an electric beater, but you can use a hand beater as well. Keep the speed medium when using an electric mixer. Stop beating once you get the fluffy consistency as in the picture below.
  • This time, we’ll get back to the cold coffee mixture and add it to the whipped cream, okay? Also, add ½ cup of Milkmaid condensed milk here and beat them again for 2 more minutes.

I chose this condensed milk as it’s very sweet and there’s no need to add any sugar afterwards. The thick consistency of the condensed milk adds the best creaminess to the ice cream. After 2 minutes, our fluffy and creamy ice cream mixture is ready.

  • There is not much work left; just pour the ice cream mixture into the box you want to freeze it in. Then, sprinkle a mix of colorful edible pearls and heart-shaped sprinkles over the top (a part of the decoration, you can skip it if you want).
  • Finally, cover the lid and keep it in the freezer for 7-8 hours or overnight.
  • The next day, your ice cream will be set properly, and you will enjoy its delicious flavour!

Side Dish Ideas With Coffee Ice Cream with Condensed Milk

Well, there are a lot of options for you when it comes to choosing a side dish for ice cream. I love to have a warm slice of chocolate cake, brownies, or waffles almost every time. For a lighter option, you can serve almond biscotti or shortbread cookies.

Fresh fruit, such as sliced strawberries or a berry compote can be a great addition for a refreshing contrast to the sweetness of the ice cream.

Chef’s Tips

  • Use heavy cream for the best whipping results, as lighter creams and milk don’t have sufficient fat to get the right consistency.
  • Don’t skip the part of chilling the coffee in the refrigerator. It helps maintain the cold temperature so the whipped cream doesn’t melt.
  • Freeze the ice cream quickly after it’s ready. Otherwise, crystals can form, and the texture of your ice cream will not be at its best.
